Italy once again emerged as a hotspot of covid-19 as transmission rate is at its peak
So far at least 3,067,900 total cases and at least 111,326 have died of this deadly virus.

On Tuesday, April 6, Italy re-imposes strict lockdown in different regions. As of now Colabaria, Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Lombarrdia, Piemonte, Pulia, Toscana and Valle falls under the redzone as the rest of the regions falls under orange zone.
This classification is based on ordinances issued by the Ministry of Health
- All non-essential shops are closed and restaurants serve for takeaways only. While essential shops and supermarkets are open till 7 pm.
- Rome announced at least 70 thousand extra police officers for surveillance nationwide.

As the result, most cities including Rome and Milan are under strict lockdown. Schools universities and colleges have suspended classes until further notice. As travel restriction remains.
