Ebrahim Raisi won the Presidential Elections of Iran held on the 18th of June
Ebrahim Raisi thanked his supporters, For securing 62% of his votes. More than 600 people filled out nomination forms for Iran’s Presidential election, of which only seven were approved. Among the six hundred, there were 40 women who took an interest to contest the presidential election in Iran. Since Supreme Cleric Khamenei has taken control of Iran. Many intellectuals and political scientists believe that Iran’s Presidential Elections have not been free and transparent.
Iran’s former President Ahmedinejad served as the sixth President of Iran. He won two consecutive elections from 2005 to 2013. Ahmedinejad indirectly criticized his country’s election system. He did not go for a vote. He stated in a TV interview that “I do not want to have a part of this sin anymore. “
Ebrahim Raisi’s Career Before Presidential Elections
Ebrahim Raisi has belonged to Judiciary. 60 years as a freeable man, he has served as a prosecutor in most of his judicial career and later became Iran’s Top Judge. Raisi has also been criticized by Human Rights NGO Amnesty International for giving approval of 5000 death sentences to Prisoners in Jail and becoming part of the So-called “Death Committee “. Ebrahim Raisi has denied all these charges and labeled them as “Cheap Allegations on him”. Now he will be sworn as Iran’s New President in August 2021. The President is the second-largest position after Supreme Commander Ayatollah Khamenei. Many Foreign Leaders i.e Russia, Turkey, Pakistan has extended their congratulations to newly elected President Ebrahim Raisi.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan said in his tweet :
“Congratulations to Excellency brother Ibrahim on his landmark victory in the Islamic Republic of Iran’s 13th Presidential election. Look forward to working with him for further strengthening of our fraternal ties and for regional peace, progress, and prosperity.“

While on the other hand, countries like Israel and America have shown their reservations and deems Ebrahim Raisi’s Pivotal Policies as the Biggest Threat in Region.
In an Israeli bureau meeting on Sunday, Mr. Bennett told partners this was “the last possibility for world forces to awaken… furthermore, comprehend who they are working with”.
Israel’s New Coalition Government’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennet vowed Iran as a Biggest Threat and urged the world to not allow Iran to have Weapons of Mass destruction. Iran and Israel have been a long-running Religious War over the issue of Palestine.
In Israel’s eyes, Iran’s Nuclear Program is not purely Peaceful.
American National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan also said in a recent statement that Preventing Iran to get access to Nuclear Weapons would be the first and top priority of the US.
Advisor further added that the 2015 JCPOA deal does not lie with Raisi but with Iran and Iran’s Supreme Power Holder is Ayatollah Khamenei, Ebrahim Raisi is temporary while 82 years old Khamenei is Permanent. Despite the cooperation of Imam Khamenei, American President Trump had imposed strict sanctions on Iran even after Sign JCPOA 2015.

Russia, Hamas, Syria also Congratulated Newly Elected President Ebrahim Raisi.
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed and hoped for further Constructive bilateral cooperation. Whereas Gaza Dominant Party Hamas Hopes that :
Raisi’s Government would continue to hold its stance in solidarity with Palestine.
Syria’s President Bashar Assad, who is supported by both Iran and Russia, sent Raisi a celebratory link saying he trusted the two would cooperate to additional respective ties. ( Sana official )
